No Images can be obtained from the camera.

If you are using your own XML-Server, make sure the configuration file named “config.xml” in ROOTDIR of the Webcamviewer application in the XML-Server is correct. Most of the time the applications available on Siemens Wiki for download are preconfigured to use some proxy address.

Which OpenStage Phone can use the XML-Application Server ?

Can the WebCamViewer servlet and WebCamCapture servlet environments reside on the same PC ?

Yes, they can reside on the same PC

Can the application work with a PC connected camera or does it have to be a standalone IP camera?

It can be any camera. The camera just has to provide JPEG/PNG pictures.
